Embrace Being Perfectly Imperfect

Imperfectly perfect  I was watching the first episode of a new TV series “Botched.” It features true life stories of people that have received disfiguring plastic surgery. The two doctors, Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Pau Nassif, perform corrective procedures to these suffering patients. Not only are they helping with the physical damage but also the emotional trauma that’s connected.

The program follows the process of the person’s before and after surgery. Showing the physical repair needed, sharing the possible procedures and the desired end result. The surgeries that were shared, from the beginning to end, offered amazing life changing results and confidence. The responses were very emotional for everyone involved, including me, the viewer.

I can admit, after four pregnancies and much nursing, I entertained the idea of a tummy tuck and a little liposuction. Instead I battle those brief thoughts with a quick visit to the Athletic Club. I learned to embrace the physical changes that came with having my wonderful children. I am Perfectly Imperfect!
